Tomasz Szewczyk has been Vice President Real Estate Ahold Central Europe since 2004. As such he is responsibility for all real estate related activities for the company in Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia. In particular he oversees the acquisition of new store locations, the construction of new stores (including technical format and standards development), shopping center development and fill-in acquisition and divestments. He began at Ahold in 1997 as an Engineering & Construction Manager in Poland, rising to General Manager for Ahold Commercial Centers Poland in 2002. Prior to this he spent five years at PBM Naftokrak as an export and marketing manager. He graduated with an MBA from the European University in Warsaw, having graduated from the Krakow Technical University with a Civil Engineering degree.
