Prior to joining the company at the beginning of 2001, Richard worked in the Economics department at the Royal Bank of Scotland, advising on lending and business development activity in the UK property sector. Richard has previously held posts with Weatherall Green and Smith, and Prudential Portfolio Managers focussing on the development and monitoring of property investment strategies and performance, including the production of market briefings for clients covering current and future property market conditions. Richard has extensive experience in the economic and investment analysis of commercial property markets, and of conducting research consultancy for clients.
In his current role, he heads the Office and Industrial Markets team within EMEA Research. His role is to oversee the analysis of these markets from occupier and investor perspectives, and to initiate and carry out research projects that support the existing business activities of the company and its clients.
Richard graduated from Manchester University in 1985 with an honours degree in Geography, after which he completed an M.Phil in Urban and Regional Planning at Glasgow University and an MSc in Property Investment (City University) for which he was awarded a distinction. |
