Iain LeydenManaging DirectorCaledonian Project Management

Iain Leyden BSc MRICS is the Managing Director of Caledonian Project Management Sp. z o.o. a project and cost management consultancy he founded in 2005 to manage the development process on behalf of Developers and Investors in Central and Eastern Europe. Iain has 16 years experience of Project Management of Development in all sectors of the construction industry. Iain first moved to Poland in 2002 as a Senior Project Manager with Mace International to work with the Project Director of Mace on the Contract Administration of the Złote Tarasy Project on behalf of ING Real Estate in Warsaw, Poland. Iain subsequently set-up the Mace Retail Tenant Coordination Team to manage the fit out process of over 200 retail units within that 285M Euro Mixed Use Development in the heart of Warsaw CBD. Prior to his move to Poland Iain spent 9 months as the lead researcher on an Expert Witness Commission with Ian Wylie, the then Deputy Chairman of Mace in London, on the Construction Technology Court Case between Bovis Lend Lease and Braehead Limited. The parties reached a settlement before the trial date, however, the experience gave Iain a valuable and unique insight into the circumstances that can create disputes between the parties to a Construction Contract.

Iain manages a team of 19 professional staff working on approximately 70,000 sqm of office developments, 1,000,000 sqm of residential developments, 20,000 sqm of Logistic Developments and various Due Diligence and Project Monitoring commissions in Poland.
