Martin Carr, a career real estate professional, has been resident in Prague since 1992. He is one of the longest standing and most experienced cross border property practitioners in the post communist era Central and Eastern European markets. Having invested, funded, built and/or sold well over €2 bilion of assets and portfolios in this region Martin stands amongst an inner circle of players. His experience ranges from being a leading consultant (Price Waterhouse Corporate Finance) where he formulated and structured some of the first joint ventures, senior financings and closed end funds vehicles in the region, to principal (CFO at Trizec Hahn Europe) where he was involved as a central figure in the creation of a leading Pan European shopping centre development and investment platform, and, more recently as a private investor and entrepreneur having been the founder and CEO of Pinnacle, now a top three European wide logistics development, investment and asset management operation, recently sold to Arcapita PLC for a record price. Martin has extensive experience in Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Russia and Serbia, having also worked extensively across Germany, Italy, Spain, France and the UK. Today, he runs Pinnacle which has operations in eight countries and an asset base of over 3 million sqm of logistics potential, and a team of over 50 professionals. |
