John VerpeletiRegional Head – Central and Eastern Europe

John Verpeleti has been based in the CEE region since 1991. Prior to moving to Budapest, he pursued a career in property in his native Australia for some 13 years. He is currently Regional Head – Central and Eastern Europe for AXA REIM following his appointment to the position in November 2005. The group now manages some €1.0 bilion of assets in the region. He has held positions as a Director of both Price Waterhouse and Tesco Stores in Hungary. He thereafter joined DTZ Central and Eastern Europe and was appointed Regional Managing Director in 1998. He managed the group's operations and offices in Central and Eastern Europe and was actively involved in the company's regional investment activities. He was adviser to several major transactions in the region since the investment market started in the late 1990s. John holds academic qualifications in real estate valuations, business studies and property, and is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), as well as a Fellow of the Australian Property Institute.
