David Nekovar
Acquisition & Development Director CR/SR Tesco Stores CR
David Nekovar is the Acquisition & Development Director at Tesco and is responsible for the Czech and Slovak markets. He joined Tesco Stores CR in 2003 and became the Property Acquisition Director after 2 years. Moving forward, David has been broadening his accountabilities within the Czech and Slovak businesses. He is leading teams that are responsible for organic growth of the company, opening over 50 new stores in both countries every year along with the recent takeover of the Koruna and Zabka chains (130 shops). Additionally, David has been active in developing new shopping centres (e.g. Forum Liberec), on the platform of adding retail units' to a new development, or the re-development of existing properties. David is a member of the Czech Tesco leadership team and a member of the Board of Directors. Apart from that he is working with enthusiasm at the Tesco Foundation (Nadační fond Tesco) as a member of its administrative board.
